The study was led by researchers from Brigham Young University, and aimed to see what type of impact social relationships had on the lives of people.

Researchers looked into data from studies that included over 300,000 people. Just about everyone in the study was followed for roughly 7-years to collect data in regards to their relationships. In total, this was a collaboration of data from 148 different studies done previously.

What they found was that those who had long, strong relationships with others in the form of great friends, marriage, and kids was as beneficial to your health as quitting smoking, being obese, etc.

Having these types of relationships can actually balance unhealthy lifestyles such as not exercising and being obese.

There is no definitive answer as to what type of relationship is better, family or friends, but either way, it helps you increase your survival and enjoy a longer, happier life.

The conclusion here is that people need to put more stress into building and maintaining strong social relationships for the good of their health.

The study has been published in PLoS Medicine.

There were two studies that were conducted recently and published in the New England Journal of Medicine, focusing on roughly 3,000 men and women who all required CPR to be performed on them.

Researchers aimed to try and see how effective different forms of CPR would be, checking variations, skipping certain parts of it, etc.

What they found from the studies, which were conducted between 2004 to 2008, is that CPR that does not include mouth-to-mouth is just as effective as CPR that did include mouth-to-mouth.

The survival rates did not vary for adults who received different types of CPR from various innocent bystanders.

All of the bystanders in the study who performed CPR were instructed how to do so via a 911 phone call.

The conclusion from these studies is that for those who do not know CPR, the simple way to try and save somebody is through regular chest compressions, as this could help a great deal in saving someone until emergency care can come to help.

The new study was conducted by researchers from the American Cancer Society, and was led by Alpa Patel.

The study focused on two groups, one group of men and another group of women. In total, there were over 120,000 men and women combined whom were studied here during the research.

None of those studied had any history of heart attack, stroke, cancer, or anything of that nature.

The idea was to see what type of impact long periods of sitting had on your risk of potential early death.

What researchers found was that your risk of early death increased significantly the longer you sat, even if you took part in high levels of physical activity for those periods where you were not sitting.

Researchers revealed that men who sat for more than 6 hours a day were 18% more likely to die an early death.

Women who sat for 6 hours or more were 37% more likely to suffer from an early death.

Bottom line, the longer you sit, the higher your risk, no matter what type of physical activity you take part in during the other parts of the day.

The study has been published in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

The study was conducted with 390 stroke patients and followed how much alcohol they consumed prior to them suffering a stroke.

The idea is to see if there was any relation between stroke risk and the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The research was not based on any specific type of alcohol, so it would include beer, wine, and everything else that would include any alcohol.

Just having one drink of alcohol was found to increase your risk of stroke 2 times immediately after consuming the beverage.

After 2-hours, the risk of stroke is increased 1.6 times when compared to your risk before having the drink.

What this means is that consuming alcohol can put people in a state of elevated stroke risk for a period of time.

The good news is that people who consumer alcohol moderately after a period of 24-hours will actually have a 30% lower risk of stroke when compared to those who drink no alcohol.

The bottom line is that in the short-term, alcohol can increase your risk of stroke, but moderate drinking in the long-term can actually lead to health benefits and a reduced stroke risk.

The studies focused on different ways to help reduce the risk and progression of cognitive decline.

The first study of the pair had researchers focus on a group of 1,200 people, all around the age of 70 or above. The study took place in Framingham, MA and revolved around the level of exercise that people in this town attained.

What they found by watching exercise levels was that those who were able to take part in heavy amounts of exercise reduced their risk for Alzheimer’s and dementia by 40%.

Researchers concluded in this study that those who got very little exercise were nearly 50% more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than those who were in the heavy exercise group.

The second study was where vitamin D kicked in, as it took place in the U.K. and focused on over 3,300 people who were 65 an dolder.

What researchers found in this study by monitoring vitamin D levels was that those who were considered to be vitamin D deficient were over 40% more likely to develop Alzheimer’s and dementia than those who had plenty of vitamin D in their system.

These findings are consistent with previous studies released in regards to Alzheimer’s and dementia prevention.

The new studies are likely going to shape larger recommendations in terms of ways to prevent cognitive decline, as these seem to be the trends with these types of studies.

Boston (SmartAboutHealth) - There have been a great deal of questions and concerns lately over just how effective the most popular sunscreens are in protecting our skin from the possibility of getting a dangerous burn from the sun.

The new report was released by the non-profit environmental group the Environmental Work Group. What they have stated is that there is a potential link between vitamin A, found in many sunscreens, and the development of skin cancer.

The whole idea behind sunscreen is to prevent melanoma, the most common form of skin cancer, but this actually goes against those beliefs.

There are many though who state that this report shows inconclusive results in regards to the negative impact that sunscreen can have on the body.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has yet to really set any type of strict guidelines or regulations in regards to sunscreens.

The basic consensus though is that the higher the SPF, the more protection there is from the sun.

Doctors stress that no matter which SPF you use, using any kind is better than none.

SPF is a measure of how much protection you have against UVB rays, which cause a sunburn.

If you have skin that can burn quickly, it is recommended that you use SPF 30.

The Environmental Work Group stated in their study though that only 8% of the 500 sunscreens they tested were safe and effective.

Regardless, the fact of the matter is that even though not all sunscreens are equal, all should help protect your skin from the sun during those hot months.

The report from the CDC focuses on the mis-use and abuse of common painkillers, leading to many emergency room visits and health issues.

The fear is that this trend will continue and lead to even more widespread abuse of these prescription painkillers. The most commonly abused drugs included hydrocodone, oxycodone, as well as methadone.

The report focused on data from 2004 to 2008, and revealed that there was a 111% increase in emergency room visits due to abuse of these prescription painkillers of opioid analgesics.

These painkillers are typically prescribed to treat pains experienced during surgery, recovery, etc.

The number of visits to the emergency room from 2004 to 2008 due to the mis-use of these drugs spiked from 144,600 up to 305,900, a major increase.

One interesting note from the report revealed that it was more common for women to abuse these drugs rather than men.

The CDC report stressed though that the similarity in numbers between men and women made the difference non-significant.

The abuse of these prescription pain pills can lead to serious health issues in both the short-term and long-term.

The report was released on June 18, 2010 by the CDC.

The health of many countries weighs on the health of the women in them.

The members of the United Nations are working hard to help improve the health of women, and in turn reduce child mortality rates, as well as the overall maternal health of the women who are pregnant.

The report released this week, Countdown to 2015, shows that more emphasis needs to be put on improving the health of women in countries as they get pregnant to in turn help improve health of the soon-to-be-born child.

The UN Millenium Development Goals set up are aimed to improve child mortality and maternal health by the year 2015, but many countries are falling short of the goals.

THee are nearly 70 countries who are not meeting these goals and over 12 other countries who are in the decline from their current health state.

The report is calling on an increase in the number of doctors, nurses, etc. to help with better treatment of women.

The feeling is that with additional staff, they will be able to cover more patients and improve health.

The report has been published in The Lancet.

The pill is extremely effective in that it can do the same function as the morning-after pill, only that it can work for as many as five days after unprotected sex takes place.

This is a revolutionary drug that could replace the popular morning-after pill, but there is controversy surrounding it.

The controversy comes with the fact that many see this as more of an abortion method rather than a pregnancy prevention method.

Within the drug, there is a chemical in the pill that is similar to the chemicals found in common abortion pills.

The current morning-after pill can be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex to work effectively, but this new pill can be taken within 5-days.

Those opposed feel firmly that this is more of an abortion pill than a birth control pill.

It has long been believed that women are more impacted by a bad relationship, but this is apparently not the case.

The idea that men do not get emotionally attached is a thing of the past, as young men have been found to be far more vulnerable than women when it comes to reacting and being impacted by a bad relationship.

The study was led by Robin Simon of the Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and focused on survey data from over 1,600 men as well as women between the ages of 18 and 23.

The survey data was recorded during a different study to focus on mental health and how kids move towards being adults.

They focused this time on relationship data, which led them to the differences between men and women.

The researchers confirmed that young men were hit harder by the ups and downs of a bad relationship.

The belief is that changes in today’s society led to this shift, which is far different from the way things were many years ago.

The study has been published in the June issue of the Journal of Health and Social Behavior.
