Families USA has released a new report which has revealed that fewer American children are living without health insurance..Boston (SmartAboutHealth) - Families USA has released a new report which has revealed that fewer American children are living without health insurance.

Families USA used data from the U.S. Census Bureau from 2005 to 2007 to carry out the report.

What the non-partisan organization found was that the number of kids without health insurance in the U.S. has dropped 6%.

From 2006 to 2007, a half-million kids in the U.S. were able to get health insurance.

The state with the lowest rate of uninsured children was Massachusetts with a rate of 4.6%.

The only downside to the report was that there was an increase of 500,000 kids living in poverty in the U.S.

There were still 8.6 million children without health insurance in 2007.
