....Washington (SmartAboutHealth) - President-elect Barack Obama seemingly has a strong plan for health care reform in the U.S. as things are looking bright.

As of right now, we still have 47 million Americans who do not have health insurance, with 10 million of them being children.

Health insurance premiums continue to rise year after year, and many can no longer afford to buy health insurance.

The answer is long-term health care reform, and it is something President-elect Barack Obama has been preaching for months now.

He is working with Tom Daschle, his Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to listen to the American people to fix health care once he takes office.

As of right now, it still appears to be a very long road until health care is truly fixed.

What we are seeing though is that Obama is ready to listen to the American people, and our future in terms of health care appears bright.
