A compound in Green Tea May Reduce Progression of Prostate Cancer

According to the results of a new study, green tea maybe the next big weapon against prostate cancer.
Green tea is very popular in Asia due to its medicinal properties, some of which we are just beginning to find out about in our part of the world.
Green tea has already been linked to reduced risk of strokes and heart disease, making it a great option as a beverage.
Results of this new study suggest that a chemical found in green tea may actually slow down the progression of prostate cancer.
Published in the US journal Cancer Prevention Research, the study goes into detail of the health benefits of drinking green tea.
The study featured men all of whom diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Some were given Polyphenon (ingredient in green tea) on a daily basis, others were not.
Those who were given the chemical regularly saw a reduction in the size of their tumors, those who did not drink green tea did not.
