Researchers led by Andrew Mente from the Population Health Research Institute at McMaster University focused on nearly 200 studies from 1950 up to 2007.

The goal behind the study was to try and be able to figure out which foods were the best to eat in order to improve the health of their heart.

What they discovered through their work was that certain foods and diets were better than others.

The best was found to be the Mediterranean diet, eating nuts and vegetables.

The worst for your heart was the Western d iet with trans-fat and such.

The feeling is that the Mediterranean diet performs the best in terms of actually being able to keep your risk of heart problems low.

The study has been published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
