Boston (SmartAboutHealth) - America’s Health Insurance Plans, which represents health insurance companies, continues to push for universal health care in the U.S.

They continue to propose ways to get universal health care rolling in the U.S., and have made pleas to Congress to make it happen.

It was not too long ago that they stated that they would support universal health care under one condition.

That condition is that they would have to mandate health insurance in the United States.

They have made new proposals now as well, as America’s Health Insurance Plans is calling on Congress to cut health care costs over the next 5 years by 30% to free up hundreds of billions of dollars.

They aim to do this in a variety of ways, such as cutting administrative costs, how doctors and hospitals are paid, etc.
