Peanut butter has been the focal point of the latest salmonella outbreak that has hit the U.S.

The outbreak has sickened roughly 500 people across 43 states and is believed to be responsible for 7 deaths as well.

As of right now, federal investigators believe they have found the source.

The source is believed to be the Blakely, Georgia plant of the Peanut Corporation of America.

Starbucks does not use the Peanut Corporation of America as a supplier of peanut butter, but wants to remain proactive.

Because of this, they have removed all products with peanut butter from stores, including their granola bar, chocolate peanut butter oat bar, peanut butter cookie, and others.
