The research was carried out by scientists from Britain, and focused on around 300 children, with an average weight of 220 pounds and an average age of 10-years old.

These kids, at the start of the study, were all described as being severely obese.

The hope was that by carrying out the study they would be able to try and find a link between their DNA make-up and their obesity problem.

In looking into their DNA, they found a similarity shared by the obese chidlren.

The discovery was that there was missing DNA in all of these kids, and the DNA that was missing was said to be the same.

Chromosome 16 was the focus of their research, and could lead to future cures for childhood obesity.

The issue here is that without this DNA, the kids are not able control their appetite, meaning they do not detect that they are full.

The missing DNA was said to be vacant in 99% of 1,200 obese children.

The study has been published in the journal Nature.
