Washington (SmartAboutHealth) - A new report released just this week has revealed that roughly 1% of all children in the U.S. suffers from autism.
Autism continues to rise in regards to the frequency of it appearing among U.S. children.
This latest report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that autism is present in 1 out of every 110 children in this country.
These new estimates are scary to say the least as there are few treatment options out there currently to help these kids.
Many drug companies all around the world are hard at work on new treatments as pressure mounts for ways to help out the children.
Companies such as Pfizer Inc. and others are hoping to have treatments ready soon.
There is also work being done to help out the kids on a psychological level since medical treatments are few and far between.
This will surely lead to more studies, as the time is now to help out the problem of an increase in autism in this country.
