Houston (SmartAboutHealth) - It appears that the H1N1 swine flu is being slowly but surely knocked out of the United States, and North America in general.
The H1N1 swine flu has been running rampant for months now after originating in Mexico and spreading all over the world.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has now come out and stated though that the pandemic is finally in decline in North America, as well as the majority of Europe.
The swine flu, to date, has been confirmed in over 200 countries all around the world.
The disease has also been linked to over 11,000 deaths in total.
What this equals out to is a pandemic that we have not seen in many years, if not decades.
It appears now though that the H1N1 swine flu is beginning to decline in the U.S. and abroad.
North America and the majority of Europe appear to be just about out of the woods, but that is not the case for the rest of the world.
Countries such as Egypt and India continue to be hit hard as the H1N1 swine flu is still spreading.
As long as it can be contained and controlled in these states though, it appears that a knockout of the H1N1 swine flu may not be more than a year away.
