The new type of treatment is known as Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, and has been used in the past to help treat leukemia and other diseases.

This new study was carried out by researchers from Northwestern University in Chicago, as well as the Department of Clinical Medicine in Brazil

The researchers focused their work on a total of 23 diabetes patients, removing stem cells from their bone marrow.

These stem cells would then be treated and put back into the patients through IV.

Researchers discovered that 20 out of the 23 cases were positive.

This meant patients could stop taking diabetes medicine and such for a long period of time.

In the long-haul, researchers feel this may be a new way to cure diabetes for good.
