Washington (SmartAboutHealth) - For months, there was an immense level of public demand for the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. Now that the vaccine is readily available though, it appears that nobody in the U.S. cares all that much.
The H1N1 swine flu vaccine was an extremely rare thing to come by for quite some time.
It was highly-anticipated all summer long as the swine flu continued to pick up steam across the U.S.
It was then made available to a limited group of people in the early fall, only to have the demand outstrip the supply.
This led to more vaccines being ordered, and more being pumped out.
Now that the H1N1 swine flu is diminishing in the U.S., no one really cares about the vaccine anymore it seems.
The flu season is something that is always unpredictable, especially this year.
There have been thousands of people sickened by the H1N1 swine flu in the U.S. alone, and the disease is far from being all set and done with.
The sad thing though is that after months of waiting for the vaccine to be readily available, it appears as if it has come in great quantity too late.
The key thing to take out of this is the fact that the swine flu is far from being done with for good.
So with that said, take advantage of the fact that these vaccines are available, go to your local Walgreens or somewhere and get the vaccine, as it only will do good, and certainly will not cause you harm.
This vaccine is what we have all been waiting for, at least the majority of health-conscious Americans. So especially for the young and elderly, now is the time to take advantage of the availability of this vaccine.
