Boston (SmartAboutHealth) - Johnson & Johnson, the makers of the popular pain reliever Tylenol, has expanded their recall of their products, sparking a great deal of fear among consumers.
Johnson & Johnson has been recalling certain Tylenol products as of late, but the general feeling was that the recall was limited to a small number of products.
This is beginning to change though as they have expanded the recall greatly.
The new recall covers a wide variety of medications made by Johnson & Johnson.
These include Regular Strength Tylenol, Rolaids, Tylenol Rapid Release, Children’s Tylenol Meltaways, Benadryl, Junior Strength Motrin IB, Tylenol Arthritis, Tylenol PM, and others.
This expanded recall will cover lots of products that may have been affected by their issue.
The issue revolves around a musty smell that comes out of the products.
These products are marketed by McNeil Consumer Healthcare, with the majority of them being manufactured in Puerto Rico.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is now getting more heavily involved in the recall as they state that the company has known about these issues for over a year.
