marijuana_new_mexicoBoston (SmartAboutHealth) - New Mexico is experiencing a major problem as they are trying to work through an extreme shortage of medical marijuana.

New Mexico allows for medical marijuana to be used as a form of treatment, but the issue here is that it is difficult to actually follow all of the guidelines and restrictions put in place to make it work.

The main marijuana growers in the state of New Mexico are unable as of right now to be able to grow enough marijuana to meet the demand of all of the patients who need the pot for medical purposes.

Suppliers argue that there are triple the number of patients who need medical marijuana when compared to the actual supply of pot.

The state of New Mexico has been working to try and get more suppliers set up who meet their guidelines.

The issue is that even once the suppliers are approved it will take a long time for them to have medical marijuana ready.
