
Boston (SmartAboutHealth) - Iovate Health Sciences is recalling Hydroxycut products after reports of liver damage and death
were made.
In total more than 20 reports were received by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pertaining to liver damage, and even 1 report of death.
Other side effects reported in people taking the dietary supplement included seizures and cardiac disorders.
Hydroxycut is the name of a dietary supplement sold in nutrition stores across the United States.
It is used as a fat burner and is very effective for bodybuilders looking to trim up before competitions.
In total, 14 types of Hydroxycut products are being recalled, and consumers are being urged not to use them.
Consumers can still purchase Hydroxycut Cleanse and Hoodia, as these 2 products are not part of the recall.
