Boston - Nestle has announced the immediate recall of Toll House cookie dough products because they maybe contaminated with E. coli.
The company has received numerous reports of people falling sick after eating the dough raw, thus felt the need to investigate.
According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as many as 66 people have fallen ill after eating the possibly contaminated dough.
Consumers who have purchased any of the dough are being asked to throw it away or return it to the store of purchase for a refund.
Luckily for Nestle nobody has died as of yet from eating the contaminated cookie dough.
Nestle spokeswoman Roz O’Hearn said “this has been a very quickly moving situation.” She added that the company will cooperate fully with the FDA.
