Skin cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, but is also one of the most preventable forms of the disease.

People who love to tan under the sun, or lamps from the tanning bed, are knowingly or unknowingly putting themselves at a great risk of skin cancer due to the harmful rays from the sunlight boaring into their bodies.

Sunscreen is inexpensive, and takes a minute to apply and can make a big difference when it comes to whether or not a person develops skin cancer during their lifetime.

According to the findings from a survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center only 31% of Americans take the time to apply sunscreen before going outside.

When out in the sun, take the time to protect your skin from absorbing dangerous rays. Wear sunscreen, and don’t stay outside for prolonged periods of time.
